I have worn a hearing aid since I was in my 20’s. With my first hearing aid,
I was literally wired from head to thigh and the sound came from my bra where I
wore the microphone. One had to be still in order to hear because movements made
the clothing rub against the microphone causing a very unpleasant noise. Perhaps
the fact that I have lived through the miraculous improvements of hearing aids is
the reason I appreciate the one’s we have today. It’s the first thing I put on in
the morning and the last thing I take off at night.
